A safe place to call home.
Providing stability to people in our community who are at risk of homelessness or living in unstable/unsafe housing.
Located in the Taggart Family Y, the Shenkman Residence welcomes individuals in transition, newcomers to Canada, and those coping with issues related to physical/mental health or substance abuse. Our community housing services include an emergency shelter, a youth transitional housing program, and a supportive housing program.
Working with our community partners, the Y provides affordable, safe housing in an environment that promotes mutual respect, support and tolerance.
