A caring, inclusive program to help you reach your potential.
The TRY Supportive Housing Program provides housing for single adults (18Y+) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and need support to move on to permanent housing.
With a dedicated team of case managers and support staff available, TRY clients have access to crisis counselling, community resource information and support in order to achieve their long-term goals to move on to permanent housing.
The TRY Supportive Housing Program is open to participants who demonstrate respect for others, tolerance for communal living, and motivation to work with TRY staff on an individual goal plan. We welcome those living with mental health and addictions issues who are connected to relevant supports. Those with addictions must be connected to community resources and be committed to their sobriety.
Clients in the program must be able to pay the program fee and cover the cost of personal needs such as groceries, cooking utensils, transportation, bedding, and toiletries. Program fees are set at the maximum shelter allowance rate for social assistance recipients to ensure the program remains affordable.
